Betting Sites in Nigeria for Football Betting, Naira Bonuses and Lagos Licences

Betting sites in Nigeria are licensed state by state since the Supreme Court handed gaming to the states in November 2024. A Lagos punter needs a brand on the LSLGA register, a naira offer whose rollover fits an acca habit, and a cashier that pays back to a Nigerian bank. The ranked brands show licence, bonus terms and payment routes.

Sport betting sites in Nigeria ranked for 2026

Sport betting sites in Nigeria ranked for 2026

Sport betting sites with a Lagos licence lead the ranking. Brands that take Nigerian sign-ups under offshore licences follow, and crypto bookmakers that quote in dollars close it. Partner order governs the sequence.

Each row prints the licence the brand holds, the welcome as published and the methods named in its Nigerian cashier. An empty cell means no Nigerian figure has been published.

  1. 1win

    1win

Four deposits, four matches at 1win: 100%, then 120%, 130% and 150%, free spins on top. The release happens inside the casino, in the games the lobby marks Bonus Wagering, which leaves a football punter with a bonus that never moves. The brand prints no Lagos entry and offers an Android build.

  2. 22Bet

    22Bet

In Lagos 22Bet is Arcadia Hospitality Limited, licence LSLGA/OP/OSB/22B230524, and doubles a first deposit to a ₦50,000 ceiling. USDT, Bitcoin, Paystack, cards and bank transfer carry the deposits. Android and iOS apps are published.

  3. BetWinner

    BetWinner

BetWinner operates in Lagos as Advanced Hospitality Limited and pays 200% up to ₦100,000 from a ₦400 deposit. One half needs 5 turnovers on three-leg accas at 1.40, the other 30 turnovers in Win Games, both inside 30 days. The cashier lists bank transfer, cards, Quickteller, Bitcoin, USDT and Ethereum; apps cover Android and iOS.

  4. Melbet

    Melbet

Melbet holds LSLGA/OP/OSB/MBO21222 (Otrada Hospitality Limited) and advertises 100% to 300% on the first deposit, the higher rate tied to a promo code. Published deposit routes are Bitcoin, Ethereum and USDT. Apps exist for both platforms.

  5. 1xBet

    1xBet

1xBet's Lagos company is Beauforbet Nigeria Limited; from ₦100 the welcome runs 200% to 300%, ceiling ₦600,000. PalmPay and OPay sit beside cards and bank transfer in the cashier. The site runs a Lite mode for slow data alongside its Android and iOS apps.

  6. Paripesa

    Paripesa

Paripesa's Lagos entry is Mediamart Entertainment Limited; ₦1,500 earns a 100% match to ₦180,000. Five turnovers on three-leg accas at 1.40, 30 days. Bank transfer, cards, Bitcoin, Ethereum and USDT fund the account; apps cover both platforms.

  7. 888starz

    888starz

888Starz is an offshore brand for Nigeria, on Curaçao paper. Its sports welcome is a 100% match and sits beside a 200% casino offer with 150 free spins; neither a naira cap nor a rollover is published, so the percentage is all that can be confirmed.

  8. Linebet

    Linebet

Linebet is on the Lagos register through Obonex Entertainment Services Limited and credits 100% up to the naira value of €100 on the first deposit. Android and iOS apps are published; the naira rollover is unpublished.

  9. Mozzartbet

    Mozzartbet

Mozzartbet Services Limited holds NLRC licence 0001091, issued on 13 June 2023, and greets a new account with as many as 500 Aviator free bets plus ₦50,000 of free bets. The brand has no published Lagos number; its offer terms were supplied by the operator.

  10. Mostbet

    Mostbet

Mostbet's headline runs to ₦2,000,000 and 325 free spins, tied to the code DATA004. The brand publishes no Nigerian licence number and no naira rollover, so the headline is the only confirmed figure and the licence column stays empty.

18+ only. Betting carries risk; stake what you can afford to lose. Terms apply at the bookmaker.

A first account funded from a bank app opens at ₦100 at 1xBet or Paripesa, both of which name bank transfer and cards; 1xBet adds OPay and PalmPay. A punter who already holds USDT can fund 22Bet, BetWinner, Melbet or Paripesa directly without a card.

Online sports betting Nigeria offers and what their terms cost

Online sports betting Nigeria offers and what their terms cost

Online sports betting Nigeria offers quote between 100% and 300% of the first deposit. The figure that decides whether the money reaches your bank is the rollover attached to it. The table lists the published terms; brands without a published naira rollover appear with the headline only.

BetWinner is the clearest worked case. A ₦20,000 first deposit brings ₦40,000 in bonus. ₦100,000 of settled three-leg accas at 1.40 or better frees half of it. The other half needs ₦600,000 in turnover inside Win Games. Both halves lapse after 30 days, which makes the casino half worth something only to a player already in that lobby.

Paripesa asks for 5 turnovers on the whole bonus under the same acca rule. ₦20,000 deposited means ₦20,000 in bonus and ₦100,000 in qualifying stakes within 30 days. Fifty ₦2,000 accas in a month, a daily player's volume, gets there.

What a five-times turnover means in naira is worked through in the 5x rollover post, and the free bet against cash bonus post shows which credit can ever be withdrawn.

Choose by the slips you already book. A daily acca player clears Paripesa or the sports half of BetWinner. A punter who books two weekend slips should treat every bonus as a bonus on paper and compare the odds.

Football betting in Nigeria on accas, booking codes and the Premier League

Football betting in Nigeria on accas, booking codes and the Premier League

Football betting carries most of the turnover at every brand in the ranking. In stakes, the English Premier League, the Champions League and La Liga rank above the NPFL. The Super Eagles' qualifiers and AFCON matches are the exception, when the national team draws the biggest single-match handle of the year.

The markets Nigerian punters build accas from are 1X2, double chance, GG/NG, over or under 2.5 goals and handicaps. Each published sports rollover in the ranking admits only accas of three legs or more at 1.40 or better. The three-leg acca is therefore the slip the bonuses are designed around.

The coupon codes have their own posts: GG/NG meaning, 1H, XH and 2H on a handicap line, HT/FT results and multigoal ranges.

Booking codes let you build a slip once and share it; a code loads the same legs on another phone inside the same bookmaker. Cash out, in-play markets and virtual football come with every Lagos-licensed brand.

Loading a booking code step by step, and what to do when cash out is unavailable on a live slip, each have a post.

NPFL fixtures run down the board beside the ranking, each with the top 1X2 price at the ranked books; recent results sit under the second tab. For two slips a weekend, price beats bonus: 2.00 instead of 1.90 on each of three legs lifts the return by 16%, something no welcome offer repeats weekly.

Betting shop or online betting in Nigeria

Betting shop or online betting in Nigeria

Betting shop counters remain the entry point for cash punters. Bet9ja and BetKing run shop networks, both on the Lagos register under KC Gaming Networks Limited and SV Gaming Limited. The ranked brands are online operations without a shop chain in Nigeria.

Online betting through an app or a browser replaces the shop ticket with a bank or wallet deposit. The smallest deposits open at 1xBet and Paripesa, and ₦400 opens the BetWinner welcome offer. A payout goes to the bank account in the holder's own name, the check that blocks a withdrawal to anyone else.

Data is the practical difference. 1xBet runs a Lite mode without images for slow connections, and the ranked brands' Android apps build a slip on less data than the full site. The betting apps page compares the downloads, and the online casino page covers slots, live tables and crash games on the Lagos-licensed brands.

Betting companies licensed in Lagos and other states

Betting companies licensed in Lagos and other states

Betting companies in Nigeria need a licence from the state where the customer sits, and the Lagos register is the one that matters for the largest market. LSLGA numbers follow the pattern LSLGA/OP/OSB for online sports betting and LSLGA/OP/OG for online gaming.

22Bet (22B230524) and Melbet (MBO21222) print theirs; BetWinner, 1xBet, Paripesa and Linebet appear under their company names.

Nigerian brands in the table are a licence checklist and carry no link. A company marked as stating its own licence has published a number that is still unmatched on the public register, which is a reason to confirm before a large deposit.

Cross River, Imo, Ondo and Oyo each run a board of their own. Mozzartbet, based in Ibadan, holds the national NLRC licence 0001091 and answers to the Oyo regulator for its customers there.

Is betting legal in Nigeria, and who regulates it?

Betting is legal in Nigeria for adults of 18 and over, and the regulator depends on the state. On 22 November 2024 the Supreme Court ruled in AG Lagos v AG Federation that lottery and gaming are matters for the states.

The ruling voided the National Lottery Act outside the Federal Capital Territory, leaving the LSLGA to license operators serving Lagos.

LSLGA publishes the register, a list of illegal operators and a complaints route, and it runs the SafePlay self-exclusion scheme across its licensees. A Central Gaming Bill that would have recreated a federal regime was rejected by the President in December 2025 on the ground that gaming is a state affair.

A punter owed money by a licensee follows the complaint route for an unpaid withdrawal; paid tipsters selling fixed games are covered in the fixed-match scam post.

The test is plain: the company behind the brand should be on the register of the state the punter bets from. An offshore brand without that entry can still take your deposit, but a dispute with it has no Nigerian regulator to go to.

Betting tax in Nigeria and the 5% Lagos withholding on payouts

Betting tax in Nigeria and the 5% Lagos withholding on payouts

Lagos enforces a 5% withholding tax on net winnings from February 2026, deducted by the operator at payout and remitted to the Lagos Internal Revenue Service.

Stake ₦10,000 and collect ₦50,000, and the 5% falls on the ₦40,000 profit: ₦2,000 goes to the state and ₦48,000 is paid out by a Lagos-licensed brand. The tax applies to net winnings, so the stake itself returns in full.

The deduction follows the licence. A brand licensed in another state applies that state's rule, and an offshore brand applies none. The gap is smaller than it looks: 5% of the net win turns a 2.00 price into an effective 1.95, and the weekly board shows prices that can be compared after that haircut.

When a licensed and a foreign brand price the same match, the 5% goes into the comparison, and the licensed brand wins once the stake is large enough for a complaint route to outweigh it.

Questions Nigerian punters ask about betting sites

Is online betting legal in Nigeria?

Yes, from 18. Since the Supreme Court ruling of 22 November 2024 in AG Lagos v AG Federation, gaming is regulated by each state. In Lagos the licence comes from the state's own regulator, the LSLGA; a national licence on its own leaves Lagos customers uncovered.

How do I check whether a bookmaker is licensed in Lagos?

Open the licensed operators list on lslga.org and search the company name, because brands trade under different company names: 22Bet appears as Arcadia Hospitality Limited and Melbet as Otrada Hospitality Limited. LSLGA also publishes a list of illegal operators it has flagged.

How much tax is taken from betting winnings in Nigeria?

Lagos enforces a 5% withholding tax on net winnings from February 2026. The bookmaker takes it at payout and passes it to the Lagos Internal Revenue Service. Other states apply their own rules, so the deduction follows the state the licence belongs to.

Which payment methods do Nigerian betting sites accept?

Bank transfer and debit cards are universal across the ranked brands. 1xBet adds OPay and PalmPay, 22Bet adds Paystack, BetWinner adds Quickteller, and 22Bet, BetWinner, Melbet and Paripesa take Bitcoin and USDT. The smallest deposits open at 1xBet and Paripesa.

What is a booking code?

A booking code is a short reference a bookmaker generates for a slip you build, so you or a friend can load the same selections later by typing the code in the betslip. Codes work only inside the bookmaker that issued them; a 22Bet code loads nothing at 1xBet.

Can I self-exclude from betting in Lagos?

Yes. LSLGA runs SafePlay, a self-exclusion scheme that blocks you across licensed Lagos operators for the period you choose. Register through the authority, so the block applies to every licensee at once, and keep the confirmation.

Do Nigerian betting sites pay out to OPay?

OPay and PalmPay appear in 1xBet's Nigerian cashier for deposits. For the other ranked brands the published routes are bank transfer, cards, Paystack or Quickteller, and withdrawals go back to the bank account in your name.

What are 1X2, GG/NG and over 2.5?

1X2 is the match result: home win, draw or away win. GG/NG asks whether both teams score. Over or under 2.5 is a bet on the total goals landing at three or more, or at two or fewer. The three are the legs most Nigerian accas are built from.
